Judith’s Journey With Our Housing Justice Team

All through the pandemic, we’ve continued to support homeowners like Judith, who was at the brink of losing her home due to illness. With the increasing number of low-income homeowners currently struggling to pay their mortgages, Chhaya’s services are now needed more than ever to ensure that families are able to stay in the homes that they worked so hard to obtain. This year, Chhaya counseled over 800 homeowners, many of whom lost income due to the pandemic, and guided those facing imminent foreclosure on how to prevent losing their home.
