Emergency Resources for Families Affected by Fire on 125th Street near Liberty Avenue

Chhaya is working to gather resources for community members who were affected by the fire on June 17, 2022 on 125th Street in Queens. This list will continue to grow. The American Red Cross Greater New York provides emergency shelter and other resources to community members who have been affected by a home fire.

NYC Housing Preservation & Development has an Emergency Housing Services unit that provides emergency relocation services and rehousing assistance.

NYC Human Resources Administration (NYC HRA) offers cash during an emergency known as a One Shot Deal. This may help with relocation & replacing clothing/furniture.
