Chhaya CDC condemns the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency for using the tragic murder of Maria Fuertes of the Richmond Hill community to vilify immigrants, and denigrate the positive outcomes of New York City’s sanctuary policies.

Chhaya’s inaugural art exhibit at the Richmond Hill Center, featuring conceptual artist Andil Gosine, was an opportunity to celebrate the beauty of our community, create space for our aspirations to shine, and build a space for our collective healing.
